Job summary

Common Plate Hospitality in Baltimore Peninsula is seeking a friendly, organized Host to be the first point of contact for guests. You will welcome visitors with authentic hospitality, manage the seating chart during busy shifts, and set the tone for a fantastic dining experience.

The ideal candidate multitasks well, stays calm under dinner rushes, and communicates clearly with servers and managers. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; OpenTable familiarity is a plus, and weekend/evening

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred to welcome a diverse guests.
• Strong verbal communication and a welcoming demeanor.
• Able to stand and walk for 4–8 hours per shift.
• Organizational skills for seating and reservations.
• Availability on weekends/evenings/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and manage seating during peak hours.
• Open doors, provide accurate wait times and directions.
• Guide guests to tables and introduce servers.
• Handle reservations and takeout inquiries via phone.
• Maintain front-of-house cleanliness and flow.
