Job summary

Hilton Santa Cruz Scotts Valley is seeking a personable front desk agent to welcome guests, manage bookings, and handle inquiries. You will record guest information, process check-ins/outs, and help resolve issues to ensure a positive stay.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, are comfortable with phone calls, and can manage multiple tasks with accuracy. Previous hotel experience is preferred and familiarity with reservation systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of hotel industry experience or related job preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Comfortable taking telephone calls and mitigating stressful situations.
• Exhibits working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet, check-in, and check out guests; distribute keys and room assignments; record credit card information.
• Mitigate customer complaints as needed.
• Handle calls, online and in-person booking requests, and answer questions about rates, rooms, amenities, rewards programs, and special requests.
• General bookkeeping: ensure guest account information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Communicate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready.
