Job summary

Kirkwood Community College's The Hotel at Kirkwood Center seeks a front desk associate who will register guests, assign rooms, issue keys, and transmit messages, while helping manage guest accounts and payments.

This position also serves as a trainer, supervising student learning experiences across The Hotel at Kirkwood Center, The Kirkwood Center for Hospitality Arts and The Kirkwood Center for Continuing Education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver license and qualify for a chauffer’s class D endorsement.
• Preference will be given to those with a post high school degree and related hospitality experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests and escort them as needed.
• Maintain records of room availability and guests’ accounts.
• Compute bills, collect payments, and balance cash.
• Assist with luggage and provide information to guests.
• Receive and mark baggage and deliver messages.
