HHM Hotels is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee hotel accounting functions and staff, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

The role provides opportunities to advance to Controller or Regional Director of Accounting, while coordinating with corporate accounting and managing month-end close processes.

Candidates should have an associates or bachelor’s degree in accounting and experience in hospitality accounting, with strong Excel and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Previous accounting in the hospitality industry preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including advanced skills in Excel.

Responsabilités

• Interview, hire, train and coach accounting associates to standards.
• Plan and organize the hotel accounting team to meet reporting deadlines.
• Review ledger reconciliations: bank statements, assets, liabilities, and credit cards.
• Oversee internal audit standards and processes.
• Review invoices for goods/services and sign disbursement checks.
• Monitor cash receipts coding and monthly accruals.
• Coordinate and review monthly financial statements for accuracy.
• Provide analysis of financial trends, variance, budgeting and forecasting.
• Coordinate with corporate accounting on payroll and tax compliance.
