Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Denver seeks an Accounting Manager to support the Director of Finance and Assistant Director of Finance with accurate financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance for payroll, income audit and accounts receivable.

The role emphasizes payroll processing, timekeeping, and daily cash management, with opportunities to optimize month-end close and enhance process efficiency across the hotel finance operations.

Qualifications

• College courses in an associated field and/or related hospitality experience.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office; Excel skills required.
• Accounts Receivable and Payroll experience preferred.
• Opera PMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, prepare, and communicate financial reports due dates.
• Handle Income Audit and enter information daily in BiPortal or similar system.
• Process time and attendance, payroll, and related information weekly and monthly.
• Prepare payroll journals and monthly close entries.
• Oversee daily Accounts Receivable, billing and collections.
• Monitor group deposits and credit requests; maintain collection files.
• Coordinate with Sales and Events for credit processing and deposits.
• Maintain daily revenue and ledgers, ensuring internal controls.
• Resolve guest and internal inquiries with accurate invoicing and statements.
• Assist with month-end close and financial reconciliations.
