Job summary

Highgate Hotels seeks an Assistant Director of Finance to lead the hotel's accounting team and drive profitability through accurate reporting and strong internal controls.

You will assist in timely monthly statements, monitor revenues and cash flow, and collaborate with department heads to keep operations on track. Hospitality finance experience is desirable; long hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Strong PC skills with Excel and Word.
• Experience with hospitality finance and accounting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director of Finance in timely preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Prepare, monitor, and record hotel revenues daily using Income Journal. Identify variances to budget and prior year.
• Monitor cash flow and operating forecasts for the property.
• Coordinate with Department Heads to keep operations on track.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and GL reconciliations.
• Supervise accounting staff and ensure internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze financial data and advise on improvements.
