Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Complex Director of Finance to lead the financial operations of the Denver properties, ensuring profitability, accurate reporting, and strict internal controls. The role oversees cash flow, monthly statements, budgets, and audit coordination while guiding staff across finance functions.

You will supervise a team, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with executives to maintain asset value.

Qualifications

• At least 5 or more years of Hospitality Finance/Accounting experience.
• Prior Control or Director of Finance experience, preferably at a premium-branded Hotel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Finance or Accounting.
• Must supervise 2 or more employees.
• Must be proficient in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets and word processing and in the operation of all hotel-specific systems.
• Long hours sometimes required.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage and communicate cash flow related issues and prepare monthly financial statements for the property.
• Monitor hotel revenues and expenses and ensure accurate recording per guidelines; manage cash flow and operating forecast.
• Create annual budgets and monthly variance analysis and suggest practical improvements to management.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory licenses, permits, leases, contracts and tax items; assist management in enforcement.
• Analyze financial data to advise management on achieving financial objectives.
• Maintain internal controls for finance and accounting operations and review balance sheet accounts.
