Job Description

The Hospital Medicine Division of Children's National Hospital (CNH) has exciting opportunities for Pediatric Hospitalists to join a dynamic team serving children in the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area. We are one of the largest divisions in the country, caring for patients at 6 hospitals across the region. Positions vary in scope, with flexibility to work at one or multiple sites:

  • Children's National Hospital, Washington, DC: Ranked #5 nationally and #1 in Newborn Care, providing coverage across several service lines, including academic teams, complex care, perioperative care, orthopedic co-management, telemedicine follow-up, and more. Faculty appointment available through George Washington University.
  • Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, MD: 24/7 in-house coverage at this community hospital, including inpatient pediatric unit, newborn nursery, and ED consultations. Teaching opportunities available.
  • Hospital for Sick Children, Washington, DC: Daytime coverage at a post-acute and rehabilitation facility caring for premature infants, children with complex medical conditions, and rehabilitation needs.
  • Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, VA: 24/7 in-house coverage with a pediatric unit, newborn nursery, and ED consultations. Teaching opportunities available.
  • Stafford Hospital, Stafford, VA: 24/7 in-house coverage including a newborn nursery, Level II NICU, deliveries, and ED consultations. Telemedicine support available.
  • Virginia Hospital Center, Arlington, VA: Both in-house and home-call coverage, including inpatient pediatric unit, nursery, and ED consultations. Teaching opportunities available.
