The clinical associate physician is responsible for the care of patients in the hospital and clinics, as well as some advocacy and educational initiatives as determined by the Division Chief and/or the Center leadership.
Minimum Education
Medical Doctor (M.D.) from an accredited medical school. (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge
Knowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in the area of expertise.
Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for medical care.
Ability to evaluate patient problems independently and develop appropriate care plans.
Ability to incorporate ethical concepts into patient care and discuss these with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and students in your area of expertise.
Maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
Stay current with developments in your subspecialty through Continuing Medical Education.
Comply with legal and ethical standards for medical care delivery.
Required Licenses and Certifications
Fully licensed and credentialed attending physician at Children's National Medical Center.
Board certified or eligible for certification in your primary practice specialty.
