Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN is seeking a Hospitalist to join a busy inpatient team. This employed role provides full health-system support, a competitive schedule, and collaboration with a large physician network.

Board Certified or Board Eligible; Tennessee medical licensure and DEA registration are required or anticipated. The position includes CME allowances, tail coverage, and a focus on patient-centered care within a nonprofit health system.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification/Registration by Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners required before employment.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

Responsibilities

• Join an established inpatient team of 45+ physicians.
• Provide comprehensive overnight clinical oversight for admitted patients and supervise APP/RN coverage.
• Maintain call coverage with 10–15 shifts per month and a mixed productivity model.
• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration.
• Employed position within Ascension Health System.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:
