Job summary

Nashville General Hospital is seeking an experienced Staff Education professional to lead learning initiatives across clinical, administrative, and support departments. You will design, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate orientation, annual education, and competency programs, applying adult-learning principles and multiple delivery methods.

Collaborate with department leaders to ensure content accuracy, policy alignment, and effective education outcomes.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive experience in healthcare education, professional development, organizational development, training, competency management, or a closely related field.
• Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC instructor certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate education records, attendance data, competency documentation, course materials, and required reports.
• Administers learning-management system functions, including course assignment, rosters, completions, transcripts, reminders, and reporting.
• Prepares dashboards and reports on participation, completion, competency, evaluation results, overdue requirements, and improvement actions.
• Supports standardized education processes and templates while enabling department-specific customization.
• Participates in audits, readiness activities, committees, and education-related improvement initiatives.
