Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience in a healthcare or customer service environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to represent Parkland positively.
• Ability to provide assistance, answer complaints and expedite services.
• Demonstrates caring, service-oriented behavior toward people encountered.
• Ability to apply sound judgment to diverse questions and problems.
• Able to multi-task patient, family and visitor requests while managing assigned area.
• Must demonstrate basic computer skills through competency tests.

Responsibilities

• Provides a warm welcome to patients, families, vendors, visitors and staff upon arrival and departure.
• Assists with problem resolution during entry/exit, coordinating referrals to appropriate departments.
• Maintains smooth operations by ensuring environments are clean and resources are available.
• Educates families about policies and procedures in a supportive manner.
• Acts as liaison between clinic departments, physicians, patients and families.
• Provides concierge services and coordinates transportation when requested.
• Locates room numbers and clinic locations for patients and visitors.
• Answers phones and provides general hospital information.
