Job summary

Broughton Hospital, part of the North Carolina DHHS, is seeking a Staff Development Specialist II to lead the hospital's General Hospital Orientation and supervisory training programs. The role develops content, trains staff, and coordinates with LMS and certification requirements.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree with three years of training development experience, hospital healthcare experience preferred, and ability to work Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with occasional after-hours training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of training development experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Documented experience creating training and/or educational materials.
• Documented experience teaching adult learners.
• Experience teaching in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop training programs, plans, schedules, calendars, and materials.
• Identify training and development objectives and assist with LMS registrations.
• Provide direct classroom instruction and evaluate programs; document completion in databases.
• Create and maintain GHO and supervisory training content and certification.
• Administer training tickets and participate in hospital committees as needed.
