Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a full-time Telephone Operator to manage the main switchboard, answer calls, and page clinical staff after hours. This role operates the paging system and coordinates with departments to ensure timely responses throughout a 7a–3:30p shift.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, strong MS Office (Excel) skills, excellent communication, and reliable attendance. A signing bonus may be available and eligibility discussed during interview.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Terminology certified or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Answers phones and routes calls to appropriate offices or personnel; dispatches emergency code calls to clinical staff.
• Processes paperwork efficiently, files and distributes on-call schedules and wireless devices.
