Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist at Kings Mills Hospital for a PRN Day Shift. You will diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across all ages, conducting evaluations and designing individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities include patient evaluations, developing discharge plans, educating families, and collaborating with the healthcare team in a hospital setting to improve communication outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in current practice state.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred at hire, required within one year.
• BLS certification preferred at hire or required within 30 days in some sites.

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals, patient conditions, and medical histories to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop discharge plans based on assessments.
• Administer speech-language pathology treatments tailored to patient needs.
• Design rehab programs for language, voice, swallowing, memory, and cognition.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home therapy procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and participate in care conferences.
