Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Security Officer for Newton-Wellesley Hospital. You will patrol, report hazards, and help prevent theft or injury while maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct.

Responsibilities include investigating incidents, assisting in emergencies, and coordinating with law enforcement when required. A Bachelor's in Criminal Justice is preferred and multiple licenses are desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice preferred.
• 3–5 years hospital security or police experience preferred.
• Licenses: Class D Driver's License, BLS Certification, CHSO/CHSS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas and address security concerns to prevent incidents.
• Identify unsafe conditions and safeguard hospital property and people.
• Maintain confidentiality in all duties and records.
• Investigate thefts and incidents, notify authorities, detain suspects if needed.
• Prepare accurate written incident reports and logs for supervisors.
• Dispatch security personnel and coordinate responses to emergencies.
