Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Security Officer (Evenings) to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. The role involves patrolling, enforcing regulations, responding to incidents, and coordinating with law enforcement as needed at 66 Blossom Street.

The position requires 3–5 years in hospital security or related fields, a valid State D license, and strong customer-service and writing skills. The role is onsite with an hourly pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice preferred.
• State Driver's License required.
• 3-5 years experience in hospital security, police, emergency medical, or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Identify unsafe conditions and secured areas to prevent theft or damage.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Investigate thefts, shortages and other incidents; detain suspects when appropriate; testify in court as needed.
• Prepare and submit written incident reports; log all incidents.
• Maintain custody of valuables and evidence; ensure safekeeping.
• Operate dispatch using integrated security systems and coordinate responses.
• Assist in medical emergencies and restraining patients when required.
• Participate in departmental committees or task forces.
