Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice preferred.
State Driver's License (Class D).
3–5 years experience in hospital security, police, EMS, or customer service preferred.
Strong writing and documentation skills.
Ability to de-escalate and handle anxious individuals.

Responsibilities

Patrol assigned areas with attention to security problems.
Identify unsafe conditions and unsecured areas to prevent theft or injuries.
Investigate thefts and incidents; notify law enforcement when needed; detain suspects when authorized.
Prepare clear written reports and logs; maintain documentation.
Operate dispatch and security systems to coordinate responses and assist in emergencies.
Assist with medical emergencies and restraint of patients when authorized.
Participate in departmental committees and task forces as needed.
