Job summary

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed for the Stafford area. The role includes patrols of hospital grounds, controlling access, and monitoring CCTV in a healthcare setting. Candidates should have at least 1 year of security experience and a valid driver’s license.

This is a full-time position with benefits. This safety-sensitive role may require a TB test and vaccines, and drug screening where permitted.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current driver’s license if driving company or customer vehicle.
• Minimum two years of verifiable employment history in customer service or protective services.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to operate radio or console monitors.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Active listening skills.
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations quickly and accurately.
• Able to mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds by foot or vehicle and document observations.
• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations and restrain combative individuals as needed.
• Transport patients to the morgue when required.
• Escort patients from helicopter pad to the emergency room.
• Assist with evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of emergency.
• Monitor entrances and exits to ensure only authorized individuals enter.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property and ensure proper removal of items.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
