Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a security officer for weekend evening shifts to provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff at our hospital campus. You will patrol, report incidents, assist in restraint when needed, and respond to medical emergencies while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, de-escalation abilities, and 3–5 years of related experience, with a valid Class D driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice preferred.
• Experience in hospital, security/police, emergency medical or customer services 3-5 years preferred.
• Class D Driver's License (state license) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to identify unsafe conditions and prevent theft, injuries or damages.
• Investigate thefts, misconduct, and disturbances; report findings to supervisors and authorities as needed.
• Respond to medical emergencies and assist in restraining patients when authorized; coordinate with security teams.
• Prepare written incident reports and maintain documentation; log all incidents.
• Operate dispatch and security systems; coordinate with personnel and respond to calls for assistance.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct; support workplace safety and community policing concepts.
