Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Security Officer at North Shore Medical Center to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, staff and assets. The role supports security operations across the NSMC campus and reports to the Security Supervisor.

This onsite position is 40 hours per week with a Night shift. Required qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid training, and a valid driver's license. De-escalation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• A valid and Current Driver’s License, and satisfactory driving record.
• CPR and First Aid training required within first week of hire.
• Preferred: Associate degree or higher in police science, law enforcement or criminal justice.
• Previous experience in Security, Law Enforcement or Military is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, employees and assets on the NSMC property.
• Respond to incidents, de-escalate situations and restrain as needed within policy.
• Follow NSMC security procedures and reporting protocols.
