Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a dedicated security professional for Brigham andWomen’s Faulkner Hospital, Inc. The role involves evening patrols, enforcing safety rules, and protecting patients, staff, and visitors across assigned areas.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, reporting accurately, and coordinating with law enforcement as needed. A Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice is preferred, and a Class D Driver’s License is required for state licensing compliance.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree Criminal Justice preferred.
• Licenses and Credentials: Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License [State License].
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: strong interpersonal skills, de-escalation, independent and team work, problem solving, written documentation, basic computer/database use.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas with focus on high-risk zones to prevent theft, injuries or damages.
• Identify unsafe conditions and improperly secured areas to protect property and people.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Investigate thefts, shortages and potential criminal misconduct; notify law enforcement; detain suspects when appropriate; participate in court proceedings.
• Prepare and submit written incident reports; keep logs updated; inform supervisor of incidents.
• Operate dispatch using integrated security systems and coordinate response to incidents and emergencies.
