Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Cambridge is expanding with the opening of the new Ragon Institute facility. The Security Officer ensures a safe environment, enforces policies, and delivers professional customer service to employees, patients, and visitors.

You will patrol, respond to incidents, coordinate resources, and maintain detailed reports while upholding confidentiality and a respectful, welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice preferred; experience cannot substitute for degree.
• Experience in hospital security is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas and identifies hazards to promote safety.
• Responds to security incidents and emergencies promptly and professionally.
• Investigates thefts and complaints by gathering information and interviewing involved individuals.
• Notifies law enforcement and detains suspects when appropriate and authorized.
• Prepares clear incident reports and maintains security logs.
• Maintains confidentiality and protects valuables in custody.
• Coordinates security resources and communicates with supervisors.
