Job summary

Memorial Health is hiring Security Officers to protect patients, visitors, staff, and physicians across hospital facilities. Roles include night, day, and PRN shifts with on-site patrols, access control, and emergency response.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, BLS within 30 days, and a valid Illinois driver’s license. Prior security/military experience is preferred and excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and conflict-management skills.
• Ability to follow policy and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Patrol buildings and grounds using fixed, walking, or vehicle patrols.
• Provide visible deterrence to crime and safety hazards.
• Intercede using de-escalation to diffuse volatile situations.
• Physically manage disruptive individuals as needed and report incidents.
• Assist with access control, parking, and escorts for visitors and staff.
• Respond to emergencies and alarms; cooperate with law enforcement.
• Prepare incident reports and document observations accurately.
