Job summary

Memorial Health is hiring Security Officers to help ensure the safety of patients, visitors, employees, and physicians. This is an on-site role with 4-day work weeks on 7:00am-7:00pm or 7:00pm-7:00am shifts, and every other weekend.

The position includes patrolling, escorting, responding to codes, and maintaining detailed reports. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid Illinois driver’s license with acceptable driving history, ability to operate an automatic shift vehicle,

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable using a computer and be efficient in data entry.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Illinois driver's license with acceptable driving history.
• Experience in security operations and training in patient restraint.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly patrols buildings and grounds to prevent hazards and incidents.
• Courteously escorts visitors, patients and staff to and from parking areas.
• Responds to requests for service and emergencies per hospital procedures.
• Maintains accurate, factual logs of tour of duty and incident reports.
