Job summary

Memorial Health is hiring Security Officers to protect patients, visitors, employees, and physicians. This on-site role offers various shifts including night, day, and PRN postings. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, plus BLS within 30 days and a valid Illinois driver’s license.

Minimum 1 year in security or related fields is preferred. You will patrol, respond to emergencies, and assist with access control and transport coordination. Benefits and competitive pay apply.

Responsibilities

• Patrols buildings and grounds using fixed posts, walking, or vehicle patrols.
• Provides visible deterrence to crime and safety hazards.
• Intervenes in disputes using de-escalation techniques to diffuse situations.
• Manages combative individuals when necessary to protect staff and patients.
• Responds to emergencies and security codes, and assists law enforcement as needed.
• Documents incidents and prepares reports.
