Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking Hospital Security Officers to protect staff, patients, and visitors at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. This part-time role offers $18.50 per hour with up to 24 hours weekly, including weekends.

Training is provided, uniforms and equipment are free, and opportunities for advancement abound. Officers may assist nursing staff with patient restraints and escort staff to the morgue when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles and handling stressful situations.
• Ability to observe, report, and respond to safety concerns.
• Willingness to complete required screenings and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, or unusual activity.
• Patrol the hospital premises on foot or by vehicle to ensure safety and security.
• Provide professional customer service and assist staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
• De-escalate conflicts and direct individuals to appropriate resources.
• Screen and manage entry points to expedite admittance while maintaining safety.
