Job summary

Allied Universal seeks a Hospital Security Officer for Allegheny Health Network in Natrona Heights. The role entails safeguarding healthcare premises, staff, and visitors, with surveillance, incident reporting, and customer service duties. Training is provided, and uniform/equipment are supplied.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 5 years of verifiable experience acceptable in lieu.
• Background check required in accordance with laws; drug screen required.
• Must be at least 21+ for armed roles; 18+ for unarmed roles.
• State licensing requirements may apply; valid driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to check for unsafe conditions and security violations.
• De-escalate individuals verbally and physically when needed; report incidents.
• Inspect security devices and fire control equipment; ensure proper operation.
• Screen visitors and staff to expedite admittance; respond to emergencies calmly.
