Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring Custom Protection Officers at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. This full-time role offers $20.00 per hour with 3:00PM-11:00PM and 11:00AM-7:00PM shifts, up to 40 hours weekly, weekends included.

You will patrol, deter security risks, respond to incidents, assist nursing staff as needed, and support patient safety. Minimum requirements include 18+ years, a HS diploma or 5 years verifiable experience, and two or more qualifying credentials listed.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable security experience.
• Must possess two or more of the following:
• Military service related to law enforcement or security
• Graduate of a Public Safety Academy or related law enforcement field
• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice
• 8+ years of service in any military branch
• Associate’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice with active military service

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department when needed.
• Provide customer service to clients by enforcing safety procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular patrols; environments may vary by client site.
