Job summary

Allied Universal Hospital Security Officers are needed at Allegheny Health Network Hospital in Natrona Heights. This part-time role offers overnight shifts with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. Officers patrol, ensure safety, de-escalate conflicts, and assist nursing staff as required.

Training is provided and uniforms are supplied. Applicants must be 18+ (21+ for armed roles), pass background and drug screens, and complete aggressive-behavior certification after offer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
• After offer, must complete the Management of Aggressive Behavior certification.

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to check unsafe conditions, security violations, or blocked entryways.
• Orally and physically de-escalating individuals as needed.
• Inspect security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screen members, visitors, and staff to expedite admittance.
• Respond to incidents with calm urgency (fire, medical, bomb threat, etc.).
• May include patient escort, patient watch, or safety escort to morgue.
