Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's in criminal justice or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of security or related experience preferred.
• Valid Massachusetts Driver's license required.
• Must pass initial and annual criminal background checks.
• License as Special State Police Officer preferred (Massachusetts) and related certifications required.
• CPR/AED/First Aid, Narcan Training, AVADE/HDTS De‑Escalation Training, IAHSS Basic Officer Certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide protection to people and property.
• Patrol buildings and grounds.
• Provide high level of customer service.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents.
• Conduct preliminary investigations.
• Provide escorts for staff, visitors, and patients as needed.
• Assist motorists with jump starts and lockouts.
• Perform patient restraints and detain individuals as needed.
• Maintain accountability for valuables/evidence.
