Job summary

Virtua Health in Burlington is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to safeguard facilities and people. You will patrol, monitor entrances, conduct weapon screening, and provide courteous assistance to visitors, patients, vendors, and staff, helping ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

The position requires a HS diploma, 2 years of security experience preferred, and strong written and spoken communication. A valid driver’s license is required and NJ SORA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years security experience preferred.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform patrols, posts, access control, and safety rounds.
• Operate weapon screening and surveillance systems (EVOLV).
• Communicate clearly with team, supervisors, nursing staff, and law enforcement.
• Escort visitors, vendors, patients, and staff and verify IDs.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with leadership for resolution.
