Job summary

Virtua Health in Burlington, VT, is seeking an on-site Security Officer to safeguard facilities, people, and assets. You will patrol buildings, monitor entrances, and provide excellent customer service to visitors, staff, and patients, while responding to emergencies and coordinating with law enforcement when required.

The role requires 2 years of security experience, strong composure under pressure, and solid written/oral communication.

Qualifications

• 2 years security experience preferred.
• Ability to stay levelheaded and respond quickly in stressful situations.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• NJ SORA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform security duties across posts including patrols and checkpoints.
• Manage weapon screening with EVOLV system and handheld wands.
• Provide customer service to visitors, patients, vendors, and staff.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with law enforcement when needed.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems.
• Prepare incident reports and shift logs.
