Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Tier 2 Security Guard to protect employees, patients, and visitors across hospital facilities. You will staff posts, patrol areas, respond to alerts, and assist with access control and crowd management.

Responsibilities include ambulance bay control, reporting security events, escorts, and conducting safety patrols. A NYS Security Guard license and CPR certification are required, with a preference for security or military background.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• New York State Security Guard License required.
• Adult CPR course (CPR) required.
• 8 Hour pre-employment Security Course completed.
• 16 Hours on the Job Training Course completed.

Responsibilities

• Staff assigned post to protect patients, employees, and visitors.
• Patrols assigned areas and investigates unusual occurrences.
• Provide emergency and general assistance by responding to security alerts.
• Control access by verifying IDs, screening visitors, and issuing passes.
• Direct traffic and clear ambulance bays of unauthorized vehicles.
• Submit timely, complete security reports and logs.
