Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Staff assigned post to protect patients, employees and visitors; patrols and investigates unusual activity.
• Respond to emergencies and provide general assistance to the medical center community.
• Control access by checking IDs, screening visitors and clearing areas after visiting hours.
• Direct traffic and ensure ambulance bays are clear of unauthorized vehicles.
• Offer directions and detain unauthorized persons on premises.
• Conduct security escorts within the Medical Center and to adjacent parking and staff residences.
• Escort Mount Sinai funds and valuables to the Cashier.
• Submit timely reports on security activity and maintain records as needed.
• Perform related security, clerical or record-keeping tasks per procedures.
