Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Facilities/Room Service Assistant at Newton-Wellesley Hospital to serve meals to patients and ensure accuracy with diet orders. You will interact with patients, nursing staff and the Call Center to coordinate timely tray delivery.

The role requires clear English communication, attention to dietary restrictions, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational school graduate preferred, some college preferred.
• 3–5 years of food service experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and understand English; communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals to patients in a professional, courteous and efficient manner.
• Adheres to hospital regulatory requirements, including proper patient identifiers and hand hygiene.
• Delivers meals and related inserts to patients, ensuring diet compliance.
• Records nutrient intake and feeds back to the Dietary Call Center when needed.
• Operates the meal ordering system and updates staff on patient meal requirements.
• Maintains nourishment kitchen stock sheets and restocks per par levels; keeps kitchens clean and organized.
