Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a hospital food service worker to perform a broad range of duties in preparing and serving foods in a patient and staff environment. Responsibilities include setting up service areas, preparing items, and delivering meals to service points.

The role requires standing for extended periods, ability to lift up to 35 lbs with assistance, and compliance with food safety standards. Evening shift, onsite at a Massachusetts facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Food service experience 2-3 years required.
• Experience in lieu of degree accepted.

Responsibilities

• Sets up food service, kitchen, or salad area facilities and prepares areas for daily operations.
• Conveys food and supplies from the main kitchen to serving sites.
• Prepares hot and cold dishes, beverages, salads, and simple bakery items as appropriate.
• Serves food items to customers and ensures appropriate portions.
• Replenishes foods, silverware, and condiments at serving stations.
• Maintains clean work areas and equipment; handles waste as required.
