Advocate Health in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a Part-time Food Service Assistant in the Food and Nutrition department. You will answer room service calls to collect patient menu selections, relay special dietary needs to dietitians and assist with menu updates and meal preparation.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, 6 months to 1 year in hospitality, basic computer skills, and knowledge of medical terminology.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED, 6 months to 1 year in hospitality.
• Ability to speak, read and write English clearly.
• Computer skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology (T.I.D., B.I.D.).
• Math skills: conversions of oz, cc, ml.

Responsabilidades

• Answer room service calls to obtain patient menu selections.
• Communicate patient needs to dietitians.
• Process diet orders and update patient card files.
• Ensure meal tickets comply with diet orders and allergies.
• Communicate with nursing, host/kitchen staff to clarify orders.
• Maintain professional image and follow dress code.
