The Detroit Medical Center is seeking a Procedural Scheduling Coordinator to oversee scheduling for specific departments, coordinating with physicians, patients and staff to ensure efficient, accurate scheduling. The role emphasizes high-quality care, clear communication, and proactive management of scheduling changes.

This on-site position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks, and a patient-centered approach to drive hospital utilization and patient flow

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two years of scheduling experience.

Responsabilités

• Schedules clinical procedures to promote high-quality care, including correct procedure, site and supplies.
• Schedules and registers patients by phone, coordinating needs considering diagnosis, resources, equipment, insurance, and availability.
• Communicates with physician offices to manage time and inform of changes.
• In the absence of the lead, provides oversight for the Scheduling Department.
• Partners with facility leadership to optimize capacity and utilization.
