Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support unit dose distribution, restock ADSs, and ensure adherence to DEA and state regulations. You will prepare and deliver medications, including IV products, and assist with repackaging and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Restocks automated dispensing machines (ADSs) and floor stock medications, loading medications and dispense tracking in Epic workflows.
• Delivers all medications in compliance with DEA, DPH and State Board regulations.
• Prepares and delivers IV medications per USP 797 & USP 800 standards; maintains records for IV admixtures and sterile areas.
• Compounds non-sterile products and repackages bulk supplies into unit of use packaging per USP 795 & USP 800.
• Checks for expired/damaged medications and disposes of them per regulatory guidelines.
• Mentors and trains students and pharmacy technicians.

Education

Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license or Pharmacy Technician Trainee license
