Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Hospital Pharmacy Technician at Winchester Center for Cancer Care. Role involves unit dose distribution, sterile/non-sterile compounding, and delivery of meds to nursing areas in compliance with DEA and state regulations.

Responsibilities include maintaining ADSs, preparing IVs, training staff and students, and ensuring accuracy with Epic workflows. Requires MA licensure, PTCB/EXCPT, and 1–3 years experience. Day shifts with on-site parking offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Mass Registered Pharmacy Tech license with MA Board status.
• PTCB or EXCPT certification required.
• 1–3 years related work experience in pharmacy.
• Experience with computer systems and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Restocks ADSs and floor stock medications.
• Delivers medications to nursing areas and other departments per policy.
• Prepares IV medications and maintains related records per USP 797/800.
• Compounds sterile and non-sterile products per USP standards.
• Checks for expired medications and proper disposal per regulations.
• Mentors students and technicians in training.
• Prepares specialized sterile/non-sterile products including TPNs and chemo meds.
• Suggests workflow improvements with lead technicians.

Skills

Mass Pharmacy Tech license
