Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. is hiring a Pharmacy Technician I to support routine dispensing and pharmacy operations.

You will prepare unit dose medications, sterile and non-sterile preparations, and manage stock orders within Massachusetts regulations. The role requires MA licensure or trainee registration with EXCPT/PTCB and completion of certification within 60 days of hire, with 0–1 years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license or trainee registration with EXCPT/PTCB required, and CPhT for EXCPT or PTCB within 60 days of hire.
• 0–1 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Restocks floor stock/automated dispensing machines.
• Enters charges/credits against patient profiles to ensure accurate billing.
• Monitors medication order reports to assign medications to an automated dispensing machine.
• Delivers medications in compliance with DEA, DPH and State Board regulations.
• Prepares and delivers IV medications per USP797 & USP800 standards.
• Maintains IV admixture records and ensures sterile area cleanliness.
