Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for the Main Campus night shift (7 on, 7 off, 8pm–7am) with weekend work. responsibilities include compounding, packaging, IV admixtures, and medication distribution.

Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred and standing for long periods is required. Required: High School Diploma or equivalent, 1 year pharmacy technician experience, and TSBP license with BLS.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year of experience in pharmacy or as a technician.
• Licenses: TSBP Registered Pharmacy Technician and Basic Life Support (BLS) on hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs extemporaneous compounding and unit-dose packaging.
• Enters charges, processes credits, and restocks returns.
• Prepares IV admixtures when scheduled and handles IV chemo per policy.
• Delivers medications on time and maintains accurate records.
• Assists with inventory management and order processing.
