UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Main Campus is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for full-time night shift (7 on, 7 off) from 8pm–7am. Prior hospital pharmacy experience is preferred; candidate must be able to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities include managing daily workflow, compounding, unit-dose preparation, inventory control, IV calculations, and providing courteous service while ensuring compliance with policies and safety standards.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in pharmacy or as a technician.
• Licenses: TSBP Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern at hire and BLS certification.
• Preferred: PTCB Certification for sterile prep.

Aufgaben

• Performs duties per organizational and departmental policies and safety standards.
• Coordinates daily workflow in assigned area and supports other technicians.
• Performs extemporaneous compounding and unit-dose preparation.
• Enters charges, restocks returns, and manages inventory efficiently.
• Performs IV calculations and prepares IV admixtures using aseptic technique if IV certified.
• Provides prompt and courteous service and handles calls with urgency.
• Audits controlled substances per guidelines and reports discrepancies.
• Assists with ordering and monitoring drug inventory and PAR levels.
