Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support paraprofessional tasks and uphold high pharmacy service standards. The role aligns with the hospital's mission and patient privacy requirements.

Responsibilities include IV compounding, inventory management, dispensing support, and collaboration with pharmacists. Hospital experience preferred; HS diploma required; Texas license or intern license may be needed.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• IV certification preferred.
• Registered technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy or Pharmacy student current Pharmacy Intern License.
• 1 year of Pharmacy experience required.
• Hospital Pharmacy experiences preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Answers the telephone and front window.
• Compounds products in IV Lab using sterile, aseptic technique.
• Gathers items needed for requisitions and orders for pharmacist check.
• Maintains clean and orderly work area and restocks medications.
• Maintains inventory levels and notifies purchasing when items are low.
• Maintains drug storage systems and Unit Inspections outside the department.
• Delivers medications to nursing units and handles pickups as needed.
• Processes charges and credits for floor stock and returns in the computer system.
• Trains new employees as assigned.
