Methodist Richardson Medical Center in Texas is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in paraprofessional tasks and support high-quality pharmacy services. The role includes IV compounding, inventory management, and rounds to nursing units to ensure timely delivery of medications.

The position requires a high school diploma, Texas Tech registration or pharmacy intern status, and at least one year of pharmacy experience. IV certification is preferred and confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
IV certification preferred.
Registered technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy or Pharmacy student current Pharmacy Intern License.
1 year of Pharmacy experience required.
Hospital Pharmacy experiences preferred.
Computer skills preferred, but not required.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and patient privacy standards set by the department as well as hospital.

Responsabilités

Answers the telephone and front window.
Compounds products in IV Lab using sterile, aseptic technique.
Gathers items needed for orders, crash carts, etc., to be checked by pharmacist prior to dispensing.
Maintains clean and orderly work area; restocks medications and supplies.
Maintains inventory levels of pharmaceuticals by notifying purchasing when items are low.
Maintains drug storage systems through restock and troubleshooting functions.
M akes rounds to nursing units for delivery and pickup of medications and discontinued orders.
Perform charges and credits for floor stock sheets and returned medications into computer system.
Trains new employees as assigned.
