Job summary

METHODIST MANSFIELD MEDICAL CENTER is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support paraprofessional pharmacy tasks and help deliver high-quality service. You will assist in IV compounding, medication processing, and inventory management while upholding patient privacy and hospital policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, Texas IV certification preferred, and at least one year of pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• IV certification preferred.
• Registered technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy or Pharmacy intern license.
• 1 year of Pharmacy experience required.
• Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Computer skills preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Answers the telephone and front window.
• Compounds products in IV Lab using sterile, aseptic technique.
• Gathers items needed for requisitions, orders, crash carts for pharmacist review.
• Maintains clean work area and restocks medications and supplies.
• Maintains inventory levels and reports low items.
• Maintains drug storage systems and unit inspections outside the department.
• Delivers medications to nursing units and handles pickups.
• Performs charges and credits for stock sheets and medication returns.
• Processes medications in OR, IV lab, first fill areas for final dispensing.
• Trains new employees as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
