Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to process, prepare and deliver medications under the supervision of a Pharmacist. You will work with sterile products, controlled substances, and inventory systems, delivering meds to care areas and triaging calls from the care team.

The role requires high school diploma, MI licensure or intern status, and ideally full technician license or certification.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
MI licensure as Pharmacist Intern or Pharmacy Technician upon hire.
Full Pharmacy Technician license or certification preferred (PTCB/ExCPT).
Ideal candidate has both license and certification; IV/Compounding experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepares supplies/medication under the direction of a Pharmacist.
Prepares and packages bulk medications into unit-dose packaging.
Handles controlled substances per federal/state law under pharmacist supervision.
Maintains a clean, organized work area.
Delivers medications and supplies to nursing stations/patient care areas.
Triages calls and messages from multidisciplinary team members.
Maintains compliance with CPhT certifications and Spectrum Health competencies.
