The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience, is licensed if required by the state, and demonstrates strong math, organization, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Able to perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prescription Compounding, Preparation, & Processing: Assists pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with policies and state regulations.
• Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Accurately labels and packages medications.
• Participates in processes for assessing, managing, and reporting medication-related incidents.
• Site & Supplies/Equipment Maintenance: Ensures pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and sanitized.
• Inspects equipment and documents failures or defects.
• Maintains pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervision responsibilities.
