Job summary

Corewell Health Big Rapids Hospital in Big Rapids, MI is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. Under the direction of a Pharmacist, you will process and prepare medications, handle inventory, and deliver meds to patient care areas on day shifts.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma; licensure/certifications in Michigan within 90 days; preferred associate degree and pharmacy technician certification (PTCB/ExCPT).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred Associate's Degree in hospital/healthcare.
• MI Pharmacy Technician license or eligible and must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Certification such as PTCB or ExCPT preferred; inpatient/IV experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with processing and preparing medications and supplies.
• Deliver medications and supplies to patient care areas and triage calls.
• Work in satellites, sterile formulations, and controlled substances handling under supervision.
• Prepare unit-dose packaging and maintain clean, organized work area.
• Maintain requirements for CPhT certifications and complete assigned competencies.
